You only live in your twenties once. You have one shot at every year. My twentieth birthday was one of the most devastating days but I did not let it define my season of young adulthood.
At twenty-one, I drove halfway across the United States with two friends and spent a week home with them. A few months later I was engaged. In that same year, I traveled by myself to Germany to spend a week with my friends who were getting married.
Now I am married and paying student loans. Once you are deemed twentied on your heart, you live like it were a scout badge. Wear your badges with honor.
